What would make someone think......

What would make someone think that a 1943 (possibly cleaned) NACGS (never heard of) slabbed steel cent would be worth $1,013.95? Can it be that the person has never seen a steel cent, the grading service/slab is the best authenticator, or the person is really a noob?

Maybe he got ripped off before,and tries to re-sell it,but 1000 bucks??!!
NACGS? ok I dont know much about grading services but, I dont know that one..........
I wouldn't even spend 50 bucks on that.

Yea, Numismedia lists a MS68 at $1,110, and a MS67 at $110, then a MS66 is $43.20. The listing says it is discounted to $999, gee only about 20+ times what it is really worth.
