Regardless of holder, not too many people would drop that kind of cash on a coin with terrible pics. Especially a common Lincoln at such a lofty grade. Shall we just blindly take NACGS's word that it fits the grade? I'm not that daring. Not even with a PCGS or NGC coin.
As a side note, I am even less trusting of a TPG that sells their own graded coins.

I'll be around on the board occasionally sharing my past years knowledge. By the way, I was the one that spotted the bad PCGS slabs in Detroit where lesser grade coins were inserted with tags taken out of higher grade PCGS slabs. Had MS65 tags and coins in them were real beat up MS60 coins. They were Morgan dollars. Guy that did it got caught and did some jail time.
I also have bought PCGS coins from David Hall when I was a member of the Facts Teletype system as A50 for about 15 years. And, by the way, I just recently got an email from their system operating now wanting me to come back as a Teletype member. They remember me for my honesty in conducting business. In 15 years with them I never had one single complaint. I have always did things the way YOU, as a collector and or dealer, wanted them to be. You be honest with me and I'll be my same old self ... totally honest with you all. Thank you all, Jerry.

I always have kind of thought it was unfortunate that alot of people only take PCGS and NGC seriously. I was at a show in St. Louis a couple years ago. There were some people from a new grading service there. I had a long talk with the guy who owned the company. Thought all of the coins he showed me were graded accurately. And I liked everything he had to say about how they do business, etc. And their prices were much cheaper than PCGS prices. And I had some Franklins I was thinking of sending in to PCGS at the time. As I walked away, I thought to myself, "Maybe I'll give this new company a try." I never did though. The reason being, I was wanting to have my coins certified and then resell them. And it seems like you won't get the best price unless your coins are certified by NGC or PCGS.

Which is really ashame. The problem still regresses back to the basement slabbers who grade all unc coins MS70 (you guys know who I'm talking about); this gives all non-top tier companies a bad name. Overgrading is such a big "no-no" in today's marketplace, so a few bad apples ruin it for the honest ones. Like I said before, coin collecting was more fun when grade was less important.

We have graded a couple PF70 coins as they ARE out there but have NEVER graded to my knowledge a MS70 coin ...those are extremely rare in my opinion. Have seen some graded that way and I personally did NOT agree with the grade. JMHO
